The Catch And Release Amnesty

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) continues its Catch And Release Amnesty. Recently it arrested dozens of illegal aliens, mostly from Brazil, illegally attending flight school and illegally licensed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) as pilots.

STOW — Federal officials have arrested dozens of alleged illegal immigrants connected to a flight school in Stow, including the school’s owner and students who received US government clearance to train as pilots despite strict security controls put into place after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The arrests of 34 Brazilian nationals that began in July and concluded quietly last month raise troubling new questions about possible holes in the government’s antiterrorism security net, which bans illegal immigrants from taking flight lessons and requires background checks on any foreigner training to fly in the United States.
But, as usual, ICE decided that it would not deport the illegal aliens, but allow them to remain in the U.S. as part of ICE's policy of not actually deporting illegal aliens.
All the arrested immigrants, who were learning to fly small single-engine planes, are free pending deportation hearings in federal immigration court, immigration officials said.
There is no reason to release these illegal aliens. They have no chance of relief in deportation proceedings, so they are unlikely to appear for their hearings. They will disappear into Massachusetts' extensive Brazilian illegal alien community. Never to be heard from again. They will be added to the 700,000 or more illegal alien absconders who either did not appear for their hearings or ignored deportation orders. This is just another example of ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) creating more work for ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) who will later have to track down and deport these same illegals after they are ordered deported. ICE's new enforcement strategy is just to create paperwork enforcement without actually removing any illegal aliens.
So, ICE HSI spent thousands of dollars in time and manpower to investigate and arrest 34 illegal aliens, then released all of them, never to be seen again. ICE denies it has a policy of amnesty, but 34 illegal aliens just got it from ICE.
