Gun Nuts Go Islamist

David Corea and his fellow gun nuts like William Grigg have teamed up with the Islamists. They are defending the Portland Christmas bomber Mohamed Osman Mohamud. The party line is that first they came for the Islamists, then they will come for the gun owners. Pretty simple and direct. Anyone who disagrees will be called a racist. LOL. Where have we heard that before?
Let's see how the FBI "set up" Mohamud, a Somali Muslim immigrant:
The FBI's detailed affidavit portrays Mohamud as hell-bent on bombing the popular annual event in Portland's Pioneer Courthouse Square. The FBI complaint details how undercover agents proposed other, less lethal ways Mohamud could help the jihadi cause besides bombing, but the young man was steadfast. Indeed, the affidavit contains virulent quotes allegedly from Mohamud: "I want whoever is attending that event to leave, to leave either dead or injured"; "You know what I like to see? Is when I see the enemy of Allah then, you know, their bodies are torn everywhere"; "It's gonna be a fireworks show ... a spectacular show ... New York Times will give it two thumbs up"; and "Do you remember when 9/11 happened when those people were jumping from skyscrapers ... I thought that was awesome." It seemed to be another case of a young American radicalized by Islamist extremism. (See the influence of the Yemeni-American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki.)

But Mohamud seems to have been almost as angry at his family. The FBI affidavit never explains what prompted the bureau to put Mohamud on the no-fly list, which prevented him from traveling to Alaska last June and got him an FBI interrogation instead, in which he admitted that he had originally been planning to go to Yemen where he knew someone. It does say, however, that Mohamud later e-mailed the undercover FBI operative to say, "I was betrayed by my family; I was supposed to travel last year, but Allah had decreed that I stay here longer." And according to the FBI report, in a goodbye video Mohamud recorded on Nov. 4 after a practice detonation, he had a specific message: "To my parents, who held me back from jihad in the cause of Allah, I say to them, If you make allies with the enemy, then Allah's power will ask you about that on the day of judgment." (See the case of the would-be Broadway bomber.)
But it sounds like Mohamud was pretty well dead set against America before he ran into what Corea and Griggs thinks are agente provocateurs:
At 15, he told undercover agents, he made a prayer for guidance, "about whether I should ... go, you know, and make jihad in a different country or to make like an operation here." Mohamud graduated from high school in Beaverton. In a science class, he once gave a presentation on how a rocket-propelled grenade worked, NBC station KGW-TV reported.

One of Mohamud's former classmates told KGW of an argument the pair had over a messy locker. "The main thing was, the way he said he hated Americans," said Andy Stull. "It was serious. He looked me in the eye and had this look in his eye, like it was his determination in life – 'I hate Americans!'"
Wow, the FBI certainly has been working a long time on this guy to create a fake terrorist incident to justify arresting gun owners. In their eyes, everything bad stems from the ATFE and the FBI. All manner of evil is reduceable to the campaign against law abiding gun owners. Whether it is the persecution of Al Capone or Mohamed Osman Mohamud, all is part of the grand conspiracy to violate the right to own guns. Of course they confound the real crimes of the FBI and ATFE at Waco and Ruby Ridge with every action of the FBI past, present and future. They have decided that the FBI is the enemy, instead of the politicians that pass the laws that the FBI and ATFE enforces. Then he ascribes evil intent to every action of the FBI. I certainly can agree with Corea and friends that for the most part ATFE is a rogue agency and enforces laws that for the most part are unconstitutional, the real source of that is the New Deal and the end of federalism in the United States, not the FBI arresting the typical Muslim immigrant who hates America but is too stupid to pull off a terrorist incident without the loving assistance of some FBI agents.
We can also ask where has Corea and Griggs been on the immigration issue? What have they done about the P-3 program that Mohamud entered on? Do they support immigration to the U.S. from Muslim countries? Just as Nidal Hasan. That was real and could have been stopped if people like Corea had been active on immigration issues that would have prevented his parents from immigrating. Where does Corea stand on chain migration, amnesty, and the 1924 Immigration Act? Does he support ideological exclusion that would prevent the entry of communists and Islamists? I think not; he and his crew tend to be extremists on the issue of prosecuting sedition and treason because they think those laws will eventually be directed at gun owners. Well, that maybe true, but then any law can be abused by the likes of Obama or Ted Kennedy. Perhaps they want to return to an older America, but that means that they will have to give up their federal disability payments from Social Security.

I'm a 'Gun Nut', I guess?   But I keep coming here to read your stuff to get some balance of opinion.
Thanks for your efforts.   Much of what I'm reading here I'm NOT seeing anywhere else!

As am I, but I am not such a nut as to defend Muslim terrorists. That is the difference between me and some other gun nuts.

Thank you for your readership. I hope you are not an Islamist as well as a gun nut.

As Mr. Peanut says, we need all the gun nuts we can get. But we don't need any Islamonuts.

I hope you are not an Islamist...
Heck no!   It's hard for me to figure how anyone could believe that Islam could peacefully co-exist with what's left of the freedoms we still enjoy in the U.S of A?
