Which to the radical left, the AILA, the immigration bar, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the AFL-CIO, what they wanted: an end to the Bush Administration's feeble attempt at immigration enforcement through the Social Security Administration "no-match" letters. These letters told an employer that an employee had provided incorrect information on their Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement. While some employees do have legitimate errors on their W-2s, the overwhelming number of errors are the result of identity theft or false information on a W-2 from an illegal alien or criminal trying to live life on the lamb.
Huzzahs for the left. However the sweet taste of victory has turned sour: Now the left, or at least the immigration bar and their U.S. Chamber of Commerce, has found the bitter taste of victory unpalatable. As is sometimes true when you get what you wish for. It appears that the safe-harbor provisions that the no-match rule offered but now non-existent are sorely missed by the exploiters of illegals and their minions at the immigration bar:
What could have saved Chipotle was nevermore and their decisions some years ago to fight the no-match letters is burning them badly. So sad, too bad..payback be a bitch...you reap what you sow...tough shit Sherlock...could not happen to nicer people.
But all kidding aside, employers had the opportunity to cover their asses, but gambled and lost. How they are whining like children. Now they must pay the piper, for he always must be paid, or else the G-man cometh.
