That Is News To Me

That polygamy is now legal in the U.S. Apparently the State Department has decided that it need not follow the laws of the United States when issuing immigrant visas. Polygamy has long been illegal in the U.S. and polygamists are prohibited from immigrating to the U.S.:
(10) MISCELLANEOUS.- (A) Practicing polygamists.-Any immigrant who is coming to the United States to practice polygamy is inadmissible.
However, the State Department has over-ruled the Congress of the United States and announced that polygmists can enter the U.S. as immigrants, but may sponsor for immigration just one spouse.
What Is a "Spouse"?
A spouse is a legally wedded husband or wife. Merely living together does not
qualify a marriage for immigration.
Common law spouses may qualify as spouses for immigration purposes depending on the laws of the country where the common-law marriage occurs.
In cases of polygamy, only the first spouse may qualify as a spouse for immigration.
Same-sex marriages are not recognized by immigration law for the purpose of immigrating to the U.S.
Quite revolutionary. The DOS is now at odds with the law and Constitution of the United States. How long before they overturn the prohibition against same-sex immigration? Another reason to impeach Barak Hussein Obama.
