Tri-Valley University Was A Fraud

Then why haven't all the students been deported? The United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California has obtained a Grand Jury indictment of Susan Su, the owner of Tri-Valley University and stated that the whole operation was fraudulent.

A Pleasanton woman has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges that she ran a fake university that was a front for foreign students seeking to establish U.S. immigration status, authorities said Monday.

Susan Su, 41, who operated Tri-Valley University in Pleasanton, accepted money from foreigners, mostly Indians, in exchange for what was purported to be tuition and fees, federal prosecutors said.

In fact, she illegally obtained visa documents "without regard to the students' academic qualifications or intent to pursue a course of study required to maintain a lawful immigration status," authorities said.

Prosecutors said Indian nationals paid $2,700 a semester in tuition for visa-related documents that allowed them to live and work in the country on student immigration status.

Su was indicted on 33 counts charging her with visa fraud, alien harboring and other crimes.

However, these aliens who no "academic qualifications or intent to pursue a course of study" have been allowed to remain in the United States, been given employment authorization, and, more importantly, not deported. None are in custody and many were eligible to be removed without hearings under Expedited Removal. This shows that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is not serious about immigration law enforcement if they are advising the students with "no academic qualifications or intent to pursue a course of study" that they may find another academic institution and transfer their invalid student status. Why is ICE allowing unqualified aliens to attempt to commit another fraud? If they were unqualified at Tri-Valley University, then they cannot magically become qualified at a real academic institution.

This just shows that the Obama Regime policy of criminal investigations and targeting employers is just kabuki theater designed to distract the public and Congress from the Regime's Administrative Amnesty.
