Marinites may be enjoying the good life compared to other folks in the Bay Area. They are bringing in more money and living longer compared to others in the state of California.
According to the state Franchise Tax Board, Marin County topped the charts in terms of highest median income for joint tax returns ($120,170) as well as individual returns ($52,032) for the tax year 2011. This was the second year in a row that Marin County took the top spot. Not far behind were two other Bay Area counties. Home to many tech workers, Santa Clara ranked second ($103,019 joint return median) and San Mateo County took the third spot. ($102,793 joint return median).
Of course it helps your county statistics that there are so few people of color in liberal Marin County.

Interestingly enough, there seem to be quite a few George Zimmerman's in Marin County. 16% points of whites are white Hispanics. I guess that is why the blacks stay in tiny Marin City. It obviously is not safe for a hoodied-up black gangsta wannabee to go out in Marin County. The Pelosi Klan might shoot him on the spot.
